Emily Cole Wins 2019 Josie Music Award - 'Pop/Contemporary Vocalist of the Year'

Emily Cole Wins 2019 Josie Music Award 'Pop/Contemporary Vocalist of the Year" With Her Song "Karma" (Nashville, TN)


Receiving an Impressive 2 Nominations at this year’s Josie Music Awards for "Pop/Contemporary Artist of The Year,” and for “Pop/Contemporary Vocalist of The Year,” Emily Cole Won Vocalist of the Year in the Pop/Contemporary category.


Emily entered the competition with her new song "Karma." Emily will be officially releasing “Karma” on November 11th. The single was picked up by BWH Music Group for their latest compilation album, “On Peace Street” which will be released on November 18th.


"Since it was my very first year being nominated and attending, I totally wasn't expecting to win, at all. When they called my name, I was shocked! My Mom was sitting next to me and I think she nudged me and said something like, "Emily, did you hear!" Its' definitely a moment I'll forever cherish. "

About Emily Cole


Emily Cole is an award-winning alt-pop singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist (guitar, ukulele, keyboard, bass, and mandolin). In addition to winning a Josie Music Award for Best Contemporary Pop Vocalist of the Year, Emily has been selected as an emerging songwriter and artist for the Muscle Shoals Songwriter Festival in Alabama and the Mesa Music Festival in Arizona.

Emily's self-titled debut album (October 2015) was produced by Eddie Ferguson of Lucky Run Studio in Houston, Texas. Ferguson is known for his work managing music projects alongside Matthew Knowles (father of Beyoncé) and Max Gousse (Def Jam Records). Emily's single “Over” was produced in New York City by members of The Elev3n and Hip-Hop artist, Kinetics. Her hit song “Two-Faced” was collaboration with Jenn Rykert. Another single, “If I’m Really” ( 2017) donated proceeds to families impacted by Hurricane Harvey and was featured on the IMA Nominated album, That Summer, Vol. 1, by Various Artists. Emily has appeared on “Real Life Real Music”, a radio program recorded live at Dosey Doe Big Barn in Texas. She has also performed at the 2018 National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) and High School Nation Tour.

Emily Cole is a sought-after performer. She has taken the stage at popular venues throughout the Houston region including Warehouse Live and Main Street Crossing. She was a featured performer on “Real Life Real Music,” a one-hour, weekly radio program recorded live at Dosey Doe Big Barn in Woodland, Texas. She has also performed live at Dosey Doe, in showcases, and as an opener for well-known bands. One of her favorite performances came in Anaheim, California during the 2018 National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Winter Show and has toured with High School Nation.


When Emily is not performing, she’s in the studio recording original music. She has plans to release new music early January, 2020 and a west coast tour along the California coast is scheduled for mid-January, 2020.

Emily Cole is an advocate for nonprofit organizations and performs for vents/fundraisers to help those less fortunate. This year will be Emily’s 4th performance with the Houston Via Colori.. This is an amazing street art fundraiser festival held downtown. All proceeds go to The Center for Hearing and Speech. Last year, 7,894 children received services through the Center’s programs.
