"Heroes" by Rooftop Heroes Is Selected For BWH Music Group's 'That Summer, Volume 2'
(Bosotn, MA) BWH Music Group Announces That Rooftop Heroes' Single “Heroes” Has Been Selected For ‘That Summer, Volume 2’, A Sizzling Summer Compilation Album Featuring The Best Independent Artists In The World. About “Heroes”: “Heroes” was written by band members Mike Frei, Daniel Frei, and Tobias Engeler as well as Vincent Sorg (producer) and Lilly Martin (lyrics). It’s an indie pop song filled with fun summer vibes and a great groove. Rooftop Heroes has a sound that falls somewhere between the Chainsmokers, Coldplay, Imagine Dragons and Daft Punk or Kygo. The band combines modern electronic elements with traditional guitar-dominated band music for an addictive sound.
As the story goes, over the course of two songwriting weekends, the band came up with about 40 ideas. One of the unfinished songs was “Heroes”. The band recalls how Mike, who brought a guitar track with him, but didn’t really like it, was in the restroom when the rest of band and their producer decided to take the track as the basis for the song and started to play over it . When Mike came back, the hook and some cool key fragments were born. The rest of the song was written in one day.
“Heroes” is an homage for the thousands of heroes making our daily life worth living. These heroes who may risk their lives for ours - the heroes who care for us when we’re sick and weak; the single mother who works in the nights, that she can care for their children in the daytime; the father who will do everything he have to for his family - they’re all superheroes, that’s why they definitely needed a song.” – Rooftop Heroes
