[Austin, TX] – Indie Talk, the independent artist podcast, features Greg C. Brown, guitarist and founding member of Age of Fire, in its newest Artist Spotlight episode. The feature highlights three standout tracks from Brown’s latest release Solar Winds: Phobos, Deimos, and Occam’s Razor.

With more than 40 years of performance history, Brown has appeared on some of the world’s most iconic stages including Carnegie Hall, Whisky a Go Go, and St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin.

  • Occam’s Razor – A concept-driven instrumental inspired by the scientific principle that the simplest answer is often correct.

Brown’s Solar Winds album is described as an electric guitar shred fest, offering a mix of hard-hitting instrumentals, melodic explorations, and even a work for string quartet and electric guitar. He extends special thanks to Jody at Red Amp Studios and Arnaud Krakowka for their contributions.

About Greg C. Brown / Age of Fire

Formed in 1988, Age of Fire brings a thrash/prog edge to heavy metal, exploring themes of cataclysm and humanity’s darker side. After disbanding in 1991, the band was revived by Greg in 2018 with Rick “Dynamic” Brown (bass) and Bill Rad Morris (drums). Releases include Live from the Tempest (2023), From the Forge (2024), and the recent single Race Against the Setting Sun featuring Snigdha Diehl.
