Josh Norek And Juan Manuel Caipo Join ONErpm; Company Establishes San Francisco Office

an Francisco, CA, October 29, 2018 – Label services, rights management and distribution company ONErpm has announced the addition of Josh Norek as Director, San Francisco & U.S. Latin and Juan Manuel Caipo, A&R, North America & U.S. Latin, to the team. Their hires also mark the establishment of ONErpm’s first West Coast office, in San Francisco. This is the company’s fourth U.S. location, along with Brooklyn, Miami, and Nashville.

Josh Norek has been immersed in many aspects of the Latin music industry for over twenty years. He founded and continues to serve as the president of the music royalties collection firm Regalías Digitales. Previously, Norek served for ten years as VP of Business Affairs & Digital for Nacional Records, the leading record label for Latin rock and hip-hop. At Nacional he managed the label’s digital retail and licensing strategies, as well as the company’s sister publishing company Canciones Nacionales. Norek has overseen the launch of albums from Grammy-winning artists including Manu Chao, Ana Tijoux & Nortec Collective, and guided Manu Chao’s “La Radiolina” album to #1 on the Billboard sales charts. He is also a co-founder of the Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC), and co-hosts the nationally syndicated public radio show “The Latin Alternative.” In addition, he was the music supervisor for the Univision/Netflix series “El Chapo.” Norek has participated on the boards of advocacy organizations such as A2IM (American Association of Independent Musicians) and Voto Latino. He is a graduate of Cornell University and Southwestern Law School.

An accomplished producer and mixer, Juan Manuel Caipo has run Rockolito Music for the past 12 years. He was the executive producer and producer of the 2016 Concord Records Quiero Creedence Latin tribute album to Creedence Clearwater Revival, which featured Juan Gabriel, Bunbury, Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top & Enanitos Verdes. He has worked with artists such as Ana Barbara, Chuchito Valdez, Calamaro, Ozomatli, Bang Data, La Misa Negra, and has secured sync placements for his music in programs and ad campaigns including “Breaking Bad,” “CSI,” and T-Mobile.
