Kaelynne Joye Mason (born April 1, 1995), better known by her stage name K. Joye, is an American R&B/Soul singer-songwriter. Born in Cheverly, Maryland, K. Joye was raised by a single mother in various parts of Maryland and the DC area. Coming from a family of singers where music was constantly playing in her home, K. Joye’s passion for music began to grow. She began singing in church at the tender age of 4 and started writing and recording at the age of 16. K. Joye has been blessed with the gift of song and writing which allows her to speak to the soul with her expressive, relatable, and poignant lyrics.

In 2007, K. Joye moved to Atlanta, GA seeking better opportunities. She is a smart, dedicated, and talented artist who continues her education while pursuing a career in music. In 2017, K. Joye graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Bethune-Cookman University. Furthermore, in May of 2019, K. Joye will receive her Master’s Degree in Law from Regent University. Her goal is to prove that you can receive an education while pursuing your dreams.

A series of life events inspired K. Joye to create an in-home studio so that she could teach herself how to record and produce music. In April of 2018, K. Joye released her first single titled “Act Right” which appeared on Hot 94.1’s radio station in Daytona Beach, FL. In May of 2018, she released her popular single titled “Wave.” K. Joye has appeared on radio stations such as Mystics Entertainment and received positive feedback from Hot 107.9’s Heat Seekers. On August 17, 2018, K. Joye released her 1st R&B/Soul album titled “The End.” This heartfelt and relatable album shares stories about the absence of her father, the struggles of relationships, and finding self-love. The album’s title “The End,” signifies the importance that the end of something old is always the beginning of something new. She’s currently working on her second album that will consist of her own spin of soulful, gospel music that is due to release in October of 2018. She is dedicating her second album to the one who gave her the gift of song. In addition, she has a few pending projects and features with other Indie artists.

Being raised in a single parent household, homelessness, and moving to Atlanta, Georgia based on faith, taught K. Joye to not let the struggle define her. Having a strong Christian foundation, K. Joye continues to remain humble, knowing where her help comes from. She believes that anything is possible if you keep God first.
