Sons-N-Britches Releases New Holiday Song - "Peace Broke Out"

Sons-N-Britches New Holiday Release is Inspired by the 1914 Christmas Truce

(Kennesaw, Georgia)

Based on the Christmas Truce of World War I, "Peace Broke Out" explores the commonality of humankind. In each chorus, the main theme is a juxtaposition of views; how can there be peace when we have created so much hostility? Sons-N-Britches were inspired to write "Peace Broke Out" by the wars and conflicts that continue to break out around the world. "Peace Broke Out" makes an impact with the idea that peace can "break out" as well and shine a light in the world.

"Rather than focusing on war or hostility breaking out, we chose to focus on the things that bring us together." - Mike Mullis, Songwriter

"Peace Broke Out" was recorded at The Vault in Marietta, GA by Kevin Sellors. Musicians include: Daron Meek on lead vocals; Mike Mullis on guitars; Steffans Hardinon on bass; Stacy Brown on drums; and Cody Marlowe on keys. Background vocals are performed by John Adams, Karen Augustine, Angie Laver, and Nicha Hilliard

About Sons-N-Britches

This ain't your mama's country; this ain't your daddy's blues" is not only a fitting opening for one of the band's core anthems, but a clear reflection of 40 years of friendship and musical collaboration between songwriters Mike Mullis and Darron Meek, which dates back to middle school jams in Kennesaw, GA. Over the last decade, Sons-N-Britches’ rhythm section has been led by premiere percussionist, the Reverend Stacy Brown. Rounding out the rhythm section is bassist Steffans Hardin, who joined the group in January 2019. Their second and most recent full-length album, Second Hand Smoke, was mixed by Grammy nominated engineer Mark Niemiec. Both Live Bait, Cold Beer, and Gasoline, and Second Hand Smoke received strong reviews, and have been featured on both country and rock terrestrial radio stations in, and around the Atlanta metro area. Over the years, the band has opened and shared the stage with acts such as Kenny Chesney, Martina McBride, Roy Clark, Mark Chestnutt, and Travis Tritt.

Sons-N-Britches are releasing their third full-length studio album, Reverse, Neutral, 4WD. The album will push the boundaries from just being an “album of songs,” to painting a thought-provoking musical story of tragedy, pain, and triumph.

Reverse, Neutral, 4WD features the story of a main character who experiences the trauma of war, heartache of love lost, addiction, loneliness, depression and redemption. Reverse, Neutral, 4WD is told from the perspective of a combat veteran who, after returning from the immense traumas of war, faces continuing personal trauma and challenges in his search for peace and redemption. He searches for redemption in the face of moral conflict, questioning his own spiritual beliefs, addiction, depression and PTSD.
