Summer Colds Release Album 'Here Comes Nothing'

The Debut Album "Here Comes Nothing" From Oregon-based Indie-Rock Band, Summer Colds, Arrives Just In Time For Summer For Immediate Release (Ashland, Oregon)

About 'Here Comes Nothing':

'Here Comes Nothing' combines Nic McNamara's dark, poetic song-writing with the fuzzy pop sensibilities of golden era 90's Alternative rock. Power-chord driven hooks and melodic layered guitars provide the backbone for the dense imagery of Nic’s melancholic lyrics. Clocking in at just over 30 minutes, 'Here Comes Nothing' "hits hard and never lets go." The first single off the album “Whiteout” was released on April 19th followed by the second single “Killing Flies” on May 17th. The full album is now streaming on all major platforms with CD's available for purchase through the band's official website.

About Summer Colds

Nic McNamara was born in Johannesburg South Africa where his father Stevin McNamara worked as a recording engineer with well-known musicians including Lucky Dube, Brenda Fassi, and Ladysmith Blacksmith Mambazo. When Nic was young, his family moved to Surrey England. Nic was exposed to a wide array of music at an early age and grew up accompanying his father in the studio. In England, his father worked alongside longtime friend and former band-mate Robert Mutt Lange. They worked on albums with numerous Billboard artists including Bryan Adams, Tina Turner, Def Leppard, Michael Bolton and more. Eventually, the family moved to the states in the early 90s and Nic continued to study music and recording engineering. Nic is a multi-instrumentalist (gutars, bass and drums) and vocalist.

With an album under their belts, and an ever-increasing local fan-base, Summer colds seem poised for a real break-out year. They have the songs, as well as the charm. - Rogue Valley Messenger

After years of musical experimentation and gaining local notoriety in Southern Oregon with the release of two albums from his band Black Bears Fire (2013 and 2015), Nic began recording with Summer Colds to bring to life a heavier sound than his previous Folk Rock project. The result was the three piece Indie Rock/Power Pop band, Summer Colds. Summer Colds currently reside in Southern Oregon and plan to tour extensively in support of the new release.
