Singer/Songwriter and producer Matt Nation Matt Nation's narrative for “Rose Gold” was introspection on a relationship that describes love but acknowledges that it isn't. "Rose Gold" is about a guy is telling a girl that although he does appreciate her company, he can’t fully give her the level intimacy that she wants from him. He can’t give her true love, although he and her do make what they have feel like love within that moment. But this, like fools gold, isn’t real, it’s Rose Gold.

His lyrics encompass struggles, resilience and takes on the modern day love story, neatly wrapped in deceivingly energetic and enthusiastic production.
